Sponsor a Student

Why Sponsor a Student?

Even though the school fees are low, there are still many in the community who cannot afford to pay.  Therefore, K.C.S. is seeking donors to partner with local Rwandese families to assist them with their child’s school tuition.  It is a personal and meaningful way you can help change the life of a Rwandan child.

Read how KCS’s student sponsorship program is affecting Emmanuel, a 3rd grade student (pictured above, center, with his two brothers):

Before coming to KCS, I attended a public school on a different hill.  My younger brothers and I left our house at 6:00 am to walk there, and we didn’t reach the school until around 7:30.  There were about 70 students in my class, and we each shared a desk with two other students.  If we didn’t understand our lessons, our teacher would hit us.

Now my brothers and I are able to attend KCS, which is a much better school.  It only takes us five minutes to walk here.  We like it better because we are learning so much more in our classes.  We’re even learning French, English, and about God.  Our new teachers let us ask questions at the end of each lesson until we really understand, and they never hit us.  We’re so happy to be students at KCS.

This year, there are over 100 students like Emmanuel who need financial assistance to attend KCS.  For $40 per month ($480 per year) you can provide excellent Christian education by loving teachers, lunch everyday for students who might not otherwise have a decent meal, and school supplies.  Please consider partnering with KCS to give these children hope for a better future through the opportunity to hear about and experience God’s love.

KCS looks forward to emailing you periodic pictures and updates of your sponsored student.
